A double distilled, heavily peated single malt from Springbank, Longrow was first created as an experiment to make a peated whisky in Campbeltown. This new dram differs from those Springbanks of the past because it has been matured in 60% rum casks and 40% refill sherry casks, where previously it had been matured in 100% sherry casks.

This dram was used to follow the Laphroaig 32, which in comparison, was a good pick. It has a lot more peat than the 32 year old counterpart so it was something different. Following a 32 year old Laphroaig was pretty difficult, but it ended up being quite a nice experience, one that I will remember for quite a long time.
