Another year, another event that will turn the whisky tasting events on its head. Lead by the well renowned Medical Physician Dr. Matthew Lurin, the Fourth Annual Water of Life Charity Event, (to be held on May 3, 2018 at Bath House Studios) will bring back the popular and unique seated speed-dating format. Brand ambassadors will host short sessions with up to five guests at a time and share drams and stories for 12 minutes, before everyone moves on to their next ‘whisky date’. Over the course of the evening, patrons will have the opportunity to try over 20 individual whiskies out of over 100 possibilities, accompanied by food pairings at each table, and a buffet dinner and desserts. And by whiskies we are talking about single malt, single cask, cask strength, limited release, young spirits, older editions, blends, Scotch, Irish Whiskey, Japanese Whisky, American Whiskey, Rye, and other whiskies from around the world! You will most certainly find some of your favorites here, as well as some new ‘Whisky Loves’.

If cigars are your thing, then Water of Life is the event for you. There will be opportunities for you to spend time on our large and elegant rooftop space at the event and get the chance to sit for an hour straight with one brand, enjoying a pairing of their whiskies and cigars. Cigar hours are included in the VIP level ticket, or can be purchased with standard tickets for a nominal charge.

As a VIP at the Water of Life Event, you are a VIP all night, not just for the opening hour. What that means is that you will get to enjoy additional premium pours throughout the eveningexpress registration lines, and of course receive the special commemorative VIP glass.

Returning this year will be their Whisky Raffle, thanks to the generosity of their amazing ambassadors and sponsors.

Year two saw our first focused ticket, the American Whiskey Trail option for lovers of the American Spirit (and those curious). Year three was the launch of “Island Getaway”, a chance to enjoy many examples of the wonderful Scottish island whiskies (with no ferry ticket required). Both popular options are returning and new this year is the opportunity to select “Single and Loving It”. Those who choose this option will get the chance to have many of their dates occur at the tables with single cask whiskies being poured. And of course, “A Little Bit of Everything” remains for those hoping to get the most varied experience.

As always, all proceeds raised are donated to charity. This year they are again pairing with the Life Raft Group, whose mission is to cure GIST and to advocate and help those living with it until a cure is found.

We hope you can join us for this wonderful event where friends unite over a dram, and whisky, the ‘Water of Life’ itself helps us in the fight against cancer.
