Camille let’s kick things off with you telling us something interesting about yourself. 

C: I taught English as a second language in Taiwan from ages 16-20(ish). Long story short, my dad knew people in high places, and I was given the opportunity and just had to jump on it. Absolutely loved it and honestly, if I didn’t have children, I probably would’ve moved back years ago.

Many women tend to shy away from Powerlifting and strength training in general as they’re under the impression it will cause them to instantly bulk-up. Instead, these women feel their time would be better spent on cardio machines, while occasionally making use of those neatly color-coordinated 2.5-5lb dumbbells. If you could give these women any advice, what would you tell them?

C: First off – powerlifting isn’t for everyone. I am all for women doing whatever the fuck fits their goals best while in the gym. I dislike when people try to MAKE other women/humans do powerlifting, because yes, it’s intimidating and scary at first. Especially if you’ve never tried it. I used to be one of those girls who only went to the gym to do cardio because I was scared to death to touch a weight. One, for fear I’d look silly because I had no idea what I was doing. Two, I didn’t want to “look like a man” because a lot of social media at the time only highlighted women who were on gear. I eventually started using some machines and touching light weights (ya know, the cute IG girl workouts).

But it took YEARS of my best friends convincing me to finally go under a barbell. And it changed my life. Not just physically did I get to see awesome results, but my confidence in the gym and life in general grew immensely. This confidence transferred over into my profession as a doctor as well as being a more confident mother and friend. My encouragement to other females is this: we claim to want to change the trajectory and be bad asses, yet we continue to downplay our potential. Society wants us to play it small. To fit into their image of what a girl should/should not be. I’m calling BULLSHIT. Be loud. Get a coach and give lifting a barbell a try. You’d don’t have to make it a life-long event, but you are doing a disservice to yourself and your future generations to not at least see what your physical body is capable of.

For the general fitness enthusiast, female or male, do you think basing the majority of their training routine on the principles of Powerlifting and/or strength training would be beneficial?

C: I definitely do believe that the two of the three basic components of powerlifting (squat and deadlift) are super beneficial for everyday life – no offense to bench. Most patients whom I see don’t get injured from the gym, but from daily life activities. But if you think about it, even a stay-at-home mom is constantly picking things off the floor/squatting to sit on the toilet/bending over the sink for dishes… Learning how to properly brace and bend in the gym is going to translate into doing our everyday activities with a better understanding of our biomechanics so we are less likely to get injured in day-to-day activities.

What, in your opinion, are the biggest misconceptions in regard to strength training today?

C: That it’s going to be rainbows, butterflies, and fun every time. Honestly, most days I go to the gym, it’s doing the most boring and monotonous work ever. Powerlifting is SO boring. Yes, it has its fun times, but overall, it’s quite unexciting. So, get used to the fact that every day isn’t going to be “IG worthy”. Some days, it’s just boring work. But those monotonous days add up quickly over time and the results are worth it.

What does strength mean to you, and why is being strong so important?

C: Strength training means not just physically challenging my body, but mentally challenging my brain. Like I said, most days it can be quite boring, which means sometimes I don’t want to lift. Sometimes I want to skip a rep or set and just “pussy foot” it. On those days I look inward. I find my why for lifting, and I turn off all excuses and go get work done. Because I’m not doing it to impress anyone. I’m not doing it to get approval from another human. I use strength training to build my own confidence. So, I can be pain free and continue to work on my patients. So, I can continue to have a healthy body and keep up with my kids regardless of my age.

What is your motivation to take a multi-faceted personality of a model, fitness competitor and a fit mother?

C: I don’t consider myself a model (blushing now) but thank you. The next generation is my motivation. Love my family immensely, but I was raised ultra conservative and led to believe that a lot of the things I do today would send me to hell immediately. As I continued to grow and learn about life, I came to a lot of my own beliefs and realized that their mindset was very narrow.

Women are such amazing beings, but I feel like we grow in a culture where we must choose one path and THAT IS IT. It’s truly my goal to show women that your life doesn’t “end” when you have kids. Be a good mom first, but being a good mom sometimes means going out for a drink with friends. Sometimes it means taking out your favorite vibrator at the end of a long day to help you de-stress. Sometimes it means dressing up in fun outfits to remind yourself that you are a sexy goddess (trust me, mama’s have the worst self-esteem most days). Sometimes it means showing your daughter how to be a badass woman and pick up heavy weights next to the men. So yes, all that to say, I don’t want my daughter (or son) to grow up and think they must fit inside of someone else’s box/standards. Be a kind human. But be a fuckin badass human too.

Let’s get a bit personal. What body part do you get complimented on the most?

C: Well, literally anyone who follows me on IG knows this answer, but it’s definitely my ass. Which is hilarious because I had no ass growing up. I was a square with no shape. So the peach was created via lots of food (I eat about 3K calories/day) and squatting/deadlifting heavy.

Do you think there is a lack of honest conversations around sexuality in our society?

C: I totally think there’s a lack of openness regarding sexuality and it’s sad how taboo most of our society views things like porn, OF, and kinks. However, I realized the more open *I* was about my sexuality (in moderation and in the right setting), the more I found like-minded humans who were willing to have awkward-ish conversations that turned into education that benefited many lives. So many people are curious, but their curiosity is deemed shameful by people close to them. I am so so grateful that I’ve found and connected with humans who are willing to be open and explore how beautiful, fun and crazy sex and sexuality can truly be.

How do you deal with haters?

C: I don’t believe I have any haters. I just have people who have different views than mine and to that I say **cheers** 🙂

What has been your wildest night?

C: This is tough because I don’t consider myself to be “wild”. I typically think through everything. So yes, I’ve had many drinking nights, threesomes, kinky nights with partners, etc… but I don’t consider them to be wild because I knew what was going on.

If someone wanted to seduce you, what would they need to do?

C: In all honesty… It would probably be from bringing me iced coffee and food to my office. Food and coffee are key to my heart. But I consider myself demisexual – I don’t want to actual fuck/get fucked by anyone unless they can fuck my mind (in a good way) and we connect emotionally first.

Camille you have an OF page. What can fans see if they visit your site?

C: So, my IG account constantly gets asked by random dudes for feet pics… so I hate to break it to y’all, but it’s mostly feet pics (but made to look cute/seductive). I do post ass pics on there as well, but there’s no asshole/vag/masturbation/porn/etc. I also take professional pics with some photographers in my area, and they get posted to that site as well. Every once in a while, I do a PPV and those pics… are well worth it. But you’ll have to sign up to see what I mean.

Camille, what’s the naughtiest thing you’ve ever done?

C: Ugg… this could go many ways. Do we go into the story of making my partner into an ice cream sundae? Skinny dipping in the middle of the day? Off hiking trail fucking? Switched it up and played the Dom? Sorry, there’s far too many to pick from!

If you could collaborate with a brand or a person, who would it be and why?

C: This goes back to fitness stuff, but I would love to collaborate with FeedmeFightme. They’re a gym-outfit company and their clothes are what I live in for the gym, playing with my kiddos and I even wear their black leggings to work at my office. Super comfy and squat proof. I’d like to collaborate with them to make some more coffee-based leggings because they have a ton of different, delicious food on their leggings but not nearly enough coffee-based ones for my liking.
