Aubrey, please tell us a little about yourself and how you found yourself in the world of modeling.

AC: Hello! My name is Aubrey, I am 27 years old and have been modeling for 6 years now. I got into modeling back in 2017 and my very first shoot was a Halloween shoot! A girl I knew needed one other model for her shoot since her other friend backed out and I decided “hey, why not! I’m free that day so might as well try it out”. I quickly fell in love with being in front of the camera and have been modeling ever since.

How did you develop an interest in modeling, and expressing your sexuality through the camera lens?

AC: I developed an interest in modeling because I loved seeing the photographers’ different kinds of view from behind the lens. Everyone has a different perspective and so expressing sexuality through the lens is such an intimate and unique feeling, it’s amazing how by the end of the shoot you find yourself looking beyond the lens and feel only empowerment. At the end of it looking at raw pictures of yourself straight off the camera, you find yourself saying “OH MY GOSH! That’s me?!” It’s a surreal feeling.

When looking for a photographer to work with, what do you look for that seals the deal and makes for the best work relationship?

AC: Good reviews and a connection!!! That is so incredibly important. If I don’t feel comfortable with you as a photographer, the pictures will fall flat and not express the intense kind of emotion that is desired.

Being part of an industry, whose only emphasis is on the outside characteristics of a person, how have you stayed grounded?

AC: Be humble. Be a person. I know that I am much more than a photo and I know where I started from. People are people. Be genuine, kind and true to yourself and your values ALWAYS.

What do you like to do in your downtime?

AC: I love to paint modern art, go on hikes with my two dogs and am currently taking coding classes to become a UI Designer!

Do you think there is a lack of honest conversations around sexuality in our society? If everyone is having sex, why is it such a sin to talk about it?

AC: I feel in some respects yes, but as time goes on I’ve noticed sexuality in our society is becoming WILDLY more accepted and invited! People have sex! How did you get here…? Because people had sex!

If someone wanted to seduce you, what would they need to do right?

AC: There is no “right” answer to this. Consent is sexy and having that type of a connection with someone on that physical and emotional level should be the only “right” way to go about it.

If your best friend could tell us a funny story about you, what would it be?

AC: I was promoting a club in Seattle, and some guy was not having a nice trip… so he roared his head like a bull and charged my best friend Bella and I! Bella (who was wearing stilettos) had her training kick in and did a spin kick knocking him down to the ground before he knocked us over! (I know she’s the star of the show in this but OMG hands down, funniest night of my life). We kept dancing our hearts out like nothing happened while the guy who charged got taken out of the club. I was and still am in awe of her!

Aubrey, what are your aspirations for your modeling career?

AC: I aspire to do more runway! I’ve done runway modeling before, and I just absolutely fell in love with it. I’ve been published, been in movies, music videos etc. But RUNWAY. It’s a whole new level for me personally.

Would you consider yourself a creative individual?

AC: I do! I feel like everyone is creative in their own way. I love to make art by being in front of a camera and painting.

What would you consider to be your greatest asset?

AC: My greatest asset is my mind. I feel as though I am a very self-aware person who loves whole heartedly and isn’t afraid of what life has to offer but of course, doing it with caution. I am smarter than I look, and I take great pride in that.
