Everyone has a story to tell and everyone in society always finds a way to throw their own judgement upon other people. They use their insecurities to pick on others. Let’s set those biases aside, and embrace each other as a community. Let’s embrace each other for the beauty we bring into the world. For the knowledge we impart and make everyone around us just a little bit better. On that note please meet Malysa Le, an ambitious young woman, a model, engineer, business owner and an all around pretty cool person. You can find her on Instagram by @themalysado. Read her full interview below.

Malysa please tell us a little about yourself. What are some things people that follow you on Instagram might not know about you?

ML: I’m Malysa pronounced “Melissa”, people often call me Mel, Maly, Malaysia or Crazy. I am a mother of 4 beautiful children from Dallas, TX.  Many of my followers will look at my feed and think I’m just a girl with a beautiful face and probably get money sent to my venmo or cash app which is far from the truth.

I am fun, adventurous, and extremely outgoing and not filtered.  I’m a boy at heart! So don’t let the hair, nails, and makeup fool you.  I own 5 businesses– Granite company, General Construction, Marketing and Business Consulting, Fabrication Welding and Machine Company, and Event Planning (Nightlife).

I love to do outdoor sports, whether its football, hiking, swimming, snowboard, you name it, I love doing it.

How did you develop an interest in modeling and travel respectively?

ML: Growing up, people always complimented me and told me I should try modeling. So, I did.  I started modeling back in 2004 with Girlco and Import Expo. That was how everything started. I loved being around people, meeting everyone and networking. I’ve been honored to do Playboy Golf, Maxim Magazine, Twaddle Radio, Nutek Speed Magazine, Lingerie Football, be an travel Umbrella Girl for Harley Davidson, UFC and host many club appearances. I got to host in Vegas at Chateau which was huge for me. With my Network from modeling, I’ve been able to get booked out of town and work with many beautiful ladies and companies.

What are you most proud of?

ML: I am definitely proud to say that I’ve done it. Modeling helped me socially and built my network. I’ve used my social skills to help me with my everyday life. Being able to network and connect with so many different people and being able to engage, discuss products and building a platform has helped me when starting my businesses and communicating effectively.

You obviously keep in great shape. What inspires you to be the best version of yourself. Also how do you keep to a strict routine when traveling?

ML: I’m always trying to stay active, whether it’s working out on a daily basis or just keeping busy. With my work schedule and children, I manage to run multi-business and strive for my family. My Father and Children inspire me to become the best version of myself. My Father always worked extremely hard to provide a life for his family that he never had and to give his family everything they could ever wish for. My Father taught me to work hard and play hard. Unfortunately, he passed away but everything I do, I remind myself to always continue pushing and being better than I was the next day.

How important are ethical standards for influencers?

ML: Influencer marketing has served brand extremely well in building authentic connections. This is important for me because whether it’s clothing, food, or experiences– I constantly research whether it’d be worth my time, using, trying or experiencing. Reviews play such an important role because other people are trying particular products or experiences, so having someone try it before yourself impacts whether it is something consumers would engage in. The platform of ethical influences plays a major role especially in social media and providing content whether it’s for advertisement and or sponsor.

What are your three favorite trends at the moment?

ML: Food, Travel, and New Experiences

Millennials are one of the largest and most influential demographic cohorts and they hold authenticity above content. 43% of millennials rank authenticity over content when consuming information. How important is authenticity to you when choosing a brand to work with?

ML: Authenticity is everything when deciding which brand to work with. As a Millennial, you build a relationship with the brand and trust them and or the product. You don’t want to be misleading or misdirecting. Brands trust you, that why they work with you and vice versa. I love to be consistent when branding because I too build a strong relationship and identity with that brand.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

ML: Singapore

Describe your Instagram feed in 5 words:

ML: Inspirational, motivational, adventurous, dedicated, empowering

They say you are what you eat, what are you?

ML: A pickle, I can be sweet, sour, and hot all at the same time

Unfortunately, for every 99 comments, there will always be 1 comment full of judgement and hate. How do you brave the judgement on Instagram from complete strangers?

ML: I just allow them to express their selves and ignore them. Unfortunately, someone will always have something to say– whether they are upset with themselves, something that happen to them, or just naturally hate — those kind of people, you never know their situation and why they are so upset at you or hate you.. you just continue to kill them with kindness and move forward.

Lastly, tell us about your dream collab, who is it and why?

ML: Kat Von D because she allowed society to see tattooed woman as multi-dimensional human beings. When I first started modeling, I got turned away from so many modeling jobs because of my tattoos. My dream collaboration would be with her and many other fierce tattoo woman and men and show society how we can still do high end fashion and break ground being a natural bad ass
