Today we had a special bottle of Irish Whiskey. My girlfriend and I shared a dram of the Teeling Whiskey 24 year old. The Teeling 24 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey was first distilled in 1991 and matured in Bourbon casks then allowed marry in Sauterne wine casks. Sauterne is a French Sweet Wine from the Bordeaux region.

Name: Teeling Irish Whiskey Single Malt 24 year old

Nose: Fresh cut grass, raisins, apples, citrus and honey malt
Palate: Velvety smooth texture at first drop, with honey, sweet jam, citrus, dark chocolate, vanilla and a weird taste on the back-end, almost of the rare smelly fruit Durian from Malaysia.

Finish: Medium, lingers with taste of melon and hibiscus.
