Declaimer: I received a sample bottle of this product from Hamilton Distilleries for purpose of my honest review on this product.

This was a very interesting product that I have wanted to try. After interviewing the Founder and Master Distiller for this Whiskey, my mouth was watering just trying to give it a shot. I love all things Whiskey and all things BBQ. So when I came across this product, something about it just stood out as in interesting mix. Not too many American Whiskey Distilleries are doing smoked whiskey’s as their Scottish counterparts with (peat). Let’s dive right into this and see where it went.

Region: Hamilton Distillers, Arizona

ABV:  90 Proof – Standard

Nose: BBQ Sauce, smoke, oak, something sweet like a chocolate cupcake

Palate: Tasted like everything I would have imagined. It was like eating nicely BBQ heavy sauced ribs and then taking a nice mouthful of bourbon to wash it down. The complexity and richness of both the mesquite and the creaminess of the bourbon, pair each other quite nicely. There’s also an earthy floral in the background and some chillie like burning in the middle. Not anything overwhelming but just a nice touch to bring the whole whiskey together.

Finish: the Finish is short to medium. I feel like there is something lacking on the finish side, you can def tell its a young whiskey.
